From ensuring the people who grow the beans are fairly paid, through to empowering women to become farmers, Ocelot, are committed to their values. As the Edinburgh based chocolate manufacturer has grown, they have not only shown that sourcing the best beans and crafting the best chocolate is valued by customers, but they have also made a real difference to the lives and wellbeing of their supply chain and beyond.
When we met with Ocelot, it was clear that we needed to ensure that we not only met their needs for a certified organic food storage company, but were able to meet their 3PL requirements for fulfilment and distribution. We also had to meet Ocelot’s high standards for ethical trading.
Ocelot had a problem, albeit a good problem to have. Their chocolate, and the principles they stood for, had proved incredibly popular with retailers and consumers around the UK and beyond. As demand soared, they found themselves with a growing fulfilment problem and they struggled to keep pace with success. They needed a 3PL company who could adapt to the stringent requirements of organic logistics and who could fulfil shipments, store their delicate products, and ship them around the UK and further afield. Preferably this partner would also be located near the Scottish border.
Additionally, and potentially more importantly for a business with such admirable ethical standards, they wanted a 3PL partner who were able to accommodate their core values.

We met with Ocelot early in 2023 and it was an absolute pleasure and inspiration to see their dedication to their ideals in action as a thriving business. Once we felt that we understood their very specific needs, we set to work meeting those requirements cost-effectively. More than that though, this business wore their values as a public badge and we were determined to match their logistics to that spirit. The solution was to demonstrate our own level of commitment by embarking on the organic certification process. It was a challenging few months, to say the least! Achieving organic certification is a hard road and we had to take many challenges and changes onboard, but we got there.
Now we were in a position to welcome Ocelot as a client.
As part of our work with Ocelot Chocolate, not only do we offer fulfilment services, but we also manage their stock levels, conduct regular stock takes, and handle daily client queries for both retail and trade customers.
